Committee Meeting 26th Jnauary 2011

A committee meeting was held on Wednesday 26th January 2011.

Various routine administration was discussed and actioned. During the discussion re fixtures it was decided to alter the format of the our shooting calendar. The new season will commence with five consecutive Saturday shoots starting on 2nd April 2011 and finish with four consecutive Saturday shoots the last being on 24th September 2011. A full list of dates can been seen by clicking on Fixtures or by going to the Downloads & Links section. It was also decided to remove The Turner Team shoot from our shooting calendar. This was due to the very poor attendance in recent years.

Setup day this year will be Saturday 26th March 2011, 10.00am onwards. All members are welcome to attend, and lend a helping hand. We plan to contruct a concrete ramp for the ABT trap house, carry out repairs to the main driveway and generally prepare the ground for the new season. If you are not able to attend, then we very much look forward to seeing you when the season starts.

Saturday 26th March

Thanks to all those members who helped during our setup day. Thanks also to Clive Evans, Peter Trice and John Fudge for keeping us all watered and fed.

The pictures below show the 'workers' preparing and laying the new concrete ramp for our DTL trap house. Gone are the days of pushing the trap up the old slippery steel ramp!

The shooting stands were prepared, the stock of clays were sorted and tidied up, a fallen tree was removed from the pathway leading to the lower car park, the Skeet layout was checked and the clubhouse was cleaned in readiness for the start of the season on Saturday 2nd April 2011.
